Erik Barnlund - Partner
Receiving a degree in Graphic Design in 1996 from Illinois Wesleyan University, Erik was quickly offered a position as the head web designer and Director of Business Development at Dave's World, the largest Internet Service Provider in Central Illinois.

Erik became known by businesses as an authority on web design, search engine optimization, e-Commerce and Internet marketing. Mentored by owner Dave Lalande, Erik often spoke at technology expos and seminars to packed rooms of small and medium-sized business owners about marketing online and creating efficiencies using the Internet.

Knowing of his reputation as an experienced Internet professional, Erik was offered a position on a new Web Project Development department with a major Insurance company in Illinois. Working on the team for over three years, he helped design and develop the company's first website and internal corporate portal.

Barnlund also served as an Internet and website usability consultant to all departments throughout the company as his team implemented a corporate-wide content management system (CMS).

Eager to make an even greater impact on how the company used the Internet, Erik was asked to fill the role of Internet Agency Marketing Consultant within the Agency Recruiting Department. It was in this position that Barnlund made his largest contribution. Managing a sizable marketing budget and using his talent for implementing web based efficiencies, he was able to more than double the number of candidate applications within 12 months using a new online sales conversion process he calls, Persuasive Conversion™.
